BRITTANY MURPHY (1977-2009)

According to reports, Brittany Murphy has passed away of an apparent heart attack. Details are unknown.

Very sad news. Brittany was always a very likable performer. Never more so than in my favorite performance of hers.

As the voice of Luanne Platter on KING OF THE HILL. The ditzy niece of the Hill family, with her band of religious puppets The Manger Babies, who marries Lucky (Tom Petty) she was a perfect voice for the character.  I still watch KING OF THE HILL reruns on a nightly basis.  It is one of my favorite shows. 

Brittany began acting on series such as KIDS INCORPORATED and BLOSSOM, before making her mark on the big screen in CLUELESS. She would go on to star in GIRL INTERRUPTED, DON'T SAY A WORD (where there was talk of an Oscar nomination for her performance), 8 MILE, UPTOWN GIRLS and SIN CITY.



In recent years, she had moved into music.

Brittany will be missed.
