Cinematical had a link to an interview that Michelle Pfeiffer gave to an Australian website.
The article says how Michelle might be interested in playing Principal McGee in an upcoming GREASE remake (possibly starring Jessica Simpson as Sandy).
But, in it, she goes on to say the following about GREASE 2.
"I hated that film with a vengeance and could not believe how bad it was. At the time I was young and didn't know any better. I hear it's a cult movie now."
Stephanie! How could you?
And yes, it is a big cult movie. I had record traffic here for my GREASE 2 blogathon. Even Entertainment Weekly and USA Today joined in. People still love the film. And, many of us became Michelle Pfeiffer fans because of it.
She does go on to say she doesn't rewatch her films that often. I urge her to go back and watch it again.

I've got nothing to say about the heart of it, but... Jessica Simpson? Whatever... I mean, I don't think I've seen her act... I don't recall it, if I have, but if someone's remaking Grease, why, oh, why would you repeat the one big, weird thing about the original... the actors who are clearly out of high school. She might be slightly less obvious than Olivia Newton-John... but not much!

Yes, Jessica Simpson is a questionable choice. Shouldn't she be banned from acting after DUKES OF HAZZARD??? Or, that Dane Cook movie?
